From MemoryMaxx v2026.5.16 Postmortem

Forgejo returns HTTP 500 / not a git repository when pushing via git HTTP transport.

Impact: hermes-agent-local git push fails (HTTP 500). GitLab used as workaround.

Required: Investigate git-receive-pack logs, check filesystem permissions, verify app.ini [git] settings.
